Deadline: May 29, 2020The Peter and Patricia Gruber International Research Award in Neuroscience, supported by The Gruber Foundation, honors scientists for major discoveries that have advanced understanding of the nervous system.

Deadline: Jun 12, 2020The Jacob P. Waletzky Award is given to a young scientist (within 15 years of his/her Ph.D. or MD degree) whose independent research has led to significant conceptual and empirical contributions to the understanding of drug addiction. Both basic and clinical researchers are eligible for the award. Future plans to continue to make significant contributions to addiction research and treatment is one of the selection criteria.

Deadline: May 29, 2020The Young Investigator Award recognizes the outstanding achievements and contributions by a young neuroscientist who has demonstrated scholarly independence.

Deadline: May 29, 2020The Janett Rosenberg Trubatch Career Development Award, supported by the Trubatch Family, recognizes originality and creativity in research and promotes success during academic transitions prior to tenure.

Deadline: May 29, 2020The Next Generation Award recognizes SfN chapter members who have made outstanding contributions to public communication, outreach, and education about neuroscience.

Deadline: Jun 12, 2020The Louise Hanson Marshall Special Recognition Award honors an individual who has significantly promoted the professional development of women in neuroscience through teaching, organizational leadership, public advocacy, or other efforts that are not necessarily research-related.

Deadline: Nov 19, 2020The Trainee Professional Development Award (TPDA) recognizes undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows demonstrating scientific merit and excellence in research with the chance to present an abstract at a poster session, meet peers and network with senior scientists, and participate in learning opportunities at the annual meeting.
