Overview
SfN is committed to supporting and promoting rigorous science. This half-day short course on the topic of responsible conduct occurs on the Friday before SfN's annual meeting. Training includes lectures and guided discussions that enable you to explore varying topics through a neuroscience-specific lens. The course meets NIH requirements for instruction in the responsible conduct of research.
Course Information
Empowered Mentorship: Thriving as a Mentee and Mentor Through Challenges and Growth
Date & Time: Friday, November 14, 1 – 5:30 p.m. PST
Location: San Diego Convention Center, Room TBD
Description: Join this workshop to learn more about how to empower yourself as a mentee and as a mentor during your journey through different mentoring relationships. Faculty leaders will guide the session through topics such as fostering an empowering training environment, navigating hard conversations, how to establish and continue building your science through rigor and how to forge a path forward in your career. By the end of the workshop, you will have a toolkit that you can start using at the meeting to develop your mentoring relationships.
