    SfN Journals and Elsevier announced a new educational series for early career neuroscientists as they pursue publication in research journals. This one-year pilot program will begin with an interactive panel discussion on November 14 at SfN’s annual meeting, Neuroscience 2023, followed by three webinars in 2024.

    Approximately 25,000 neuroscience researchers and clinicians will convene in Washington, D.C., November 11–15 for the first Society for Neuroscience annual meeting to be held in the nation’s capital since 2017.

    SfN Receives Largest Ever Bequest, Establishes New Endowed Fund
    The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) has received $1.025 million from the estate of John I. Simpson, PhD, making it the largest bequest ever received by the Society. With the funds, the SfN Executive Committee voted to create a new long-term endowed fund, The John I. Simpson Fund, and will use the income from its investments to create and perpetually fund John I. Simpson Trainee Professional Development Awards (TPDAs) beginning at Neuroscience 2023.
