SfN honors women with the Celebration of Women in Neuroscience event each year at the SfN annual meeting.
2020 Celebration of Women in Neuroscience Event
The 2020 Celebration of Women in Neuroscience Event will take place on Tuesday, October 27, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. EDT in Washington, D.C. during Neuroscience 2020.
The event will feature a panel discussion with accomplished neuroscientists Carmen Sandi, PhD, Shubha Tole, PhD, and Nora Volkow, PhD. Diane Lipscombe, PhD will moderate the discussion.

Past Celebration of Women in Neuroscience Events
The 2019 Celebration of Women in Neuroscience Event took place on Tuesday, October 22 from noon-2 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Chicago, IL during Neuroscience 2019. Kay Tye, PhD, moderated a panel discussion on the advancements women have made in the field and what still needs to be done to increase gender equality in neuroscience. The panel featured Huda Akil, PhD, Carol Mason, PhD, and Carla Shatz, PhD.
