Submit Your Late-Breaking Abstract to Neuroscience 2026

Late-breaking abstract submissions for Neuroscience 2026 will be accepted Tuesday, September 8–Tuesday, September 15. Any SfN member, including those who already submitted an abstract to Neuroscience 2026, can submit a late-breaking abstract.

Timeline for Late-Breaking Abstracts
- September 8: Submissions open
- September 15, 5 p.m. EDT: Submissions close, unless 2,500 cap has been reached
- Late September: Presenting authors notified of abstract acceptance status
- Mid-October: Presentation time communicated
Details for Late-Breaking Abstracts
- Posters only (in person, virtual only, or both)
- One scientific (Themes A-J) OR Theme K (History, Education, and Society) abstract
- Submissions should report timely, exciting research and will be held to a higher standard of review than regular SfN abstracts.
- No extensions to submission deadline and no editing period — abstracts (including author blocks) must be final by September 15, 5 p.m. EDT.
- Grouped by theme in the late-breaking posters section on the poster floor
- Submissions are subject to SfN’s nonrefundable $260 abstract submission fee.
