Neuronline, a Dynamic Platform for the Neuroscience Community
SfN recently relaunched their members-only home for learning and discussion to better serve the needs of neuroscientists at every career level.
“Neuronline brings SfN’s wide array of programming to members wherever they live, whenever it's convenient for them,” said Catherine Bushnell, an SfN councilor and co-chair of the Online Programs Advisory Group, which guided the project from inception to launch. “SfN wanted to create a centralized place for all members to access SfN's diverse range of programming, with the awareness that SfN serves a global membership.”
The remodeled Neuronline provides:
- Specialized educational content developed by recognized leaders in the field and trusted SfN partners.
- Videos, webinars, and articles that address topics such as scientific discoveries, lab management, neuroscience program development, scientific tools and methods, and careers inside and outside academia.
- An interactive home for conversation, both via comments on articles and through open discussion forums — an easily accessible space to engage with colleagues about science, career challenges, funding, and other topics.
As Neuronline evolves and grows, its enhanced content will be guided by the Online Programs Steering Committee, led by Chair Mike Lehman, as a part of SfN’s Global Membership Committee’s emphasis on reinforcing the value of membership for neuroscientists worldwide.
