ORCID Integrated with The Journal of Neuroscience
Authors submitting articles to The Journal of Neuroscience now have the option to add their ORCID identifier or register for one on the ORCID website. ORCID is an open, non-profit, community-based effort to create a permanent registry of unique researcher identifiers that will provide a robust method of linking publications and other contributions to specific individuals. ORCID identifiers will ensure that credit is assigned to the appropriate person. By linking multiple datasets, such a registry can become a switchboard for researchers and institutions in tracking the dissemination of research findings.
Once an author provides their ORCID identifier, it will be tied to their profile and automatically available for future submissions. Links to an author's ORCID information will appear in published articles for any author that provides an ID. An ORCID link will also be available in articles posted in PubMed Central.
