Andrew C. McInvale
Andrew C. McInvale, a doctoral candidate in Neuroscience at Tulane University and a student member of the Society for Neuroscience, died in an automobile accident on 25 March 2002. He was 27. A cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University, with departmental honors in Psychology, Mr. McInvale had also enjoyed a distinguished career at Tulane. He was the recipient of an Individual NRSA from the NIDCD and a Grant-in-Aid of Research from Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society. He had also received student travel awards from the Gordon Research Conference on Excitatory Amino Acids and Brain Function, the Association for Research in Otolaryngology, and the Greater New Orleans Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience. Following graduation from Tulane, he had planned to join the laboratory of Dr. Edward B. Ziff at the New York University School of Medicine as a post-doctoral fellow.
