Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience (FUN) is the international society devoted to neuroscience education and research at the undergraduate level. Since 1992, FUN has sponsored travel awards to allow undergraduate researchers to attend the annual SFN meeting. Undergraduate researchers are welcome to present their work at the FUN poster session held during the SFN meeting. FUN members and others interested in the workings of the society are welcome to attend the annual business meeting, also held during the SFN meeting.
Especially exciting developments at FUN center on our continuing expansion and revision of our society website and program initiatives. This presentation will feature some of the new directions that the society is moving in, such as: The Journal of Undergraduate Neuroscience Education, FUN's E-Journal devoted to neuroscience instruction and laboratory techniques for use in undergraduate neuroscience; increasing roles by FUN members in the Society for Neuroscience program and society-wide activities; our research opportunity webpage, where undergraduates can find links to opportunities to become involved in research; online databases for equipment and other materials; listservs, and web-based voting and polls.
Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience presents a wealth of resources designed to facilitate FUN members and other neuroscience educators in training the neuroscientists of tomorrow....today!
