SfN's 50th Anniversary NeuroAdvocate Challenge
Over the past 50 years, SfN members and other neuroscientists across the globe have been building an interdisciplinary society aimed at advancing scientific exchange, supporting the neuroscience community, educating and engaging with the public, and advocating for the field.
SfN recognizes and appreciates past, present, and future advocates for neuroscience. In this landmark year, SfN aims to provide an outlet for NeuroAdvocates to come together to show their dedication to the field.
As such, in recognition of the Society for Neuroscience’s 50th Anniversary, SfN is rolling out the NeuroAdvocate Challenge! All past, present, and future NeuroAdvocates are invited to compete in this campaign, regardless of location and experience. SfN’s NeuroAdvocate Challenge aims to help pave the way for further advancements and investments in the field through efforts for NeuroAdvocates to connect with policymakers and the public locally, nationally, and internationally.
The campaign is comprised of advocacy activities that can be carried out alongside SfN, starting at Neuroscience 2019 and ending in December of 2020. By signing up for SfN’s NeuroAdvocate Challenge, you will have completed the first of many of the advocacy activities planned throughout the campaign. Participants may sign up for the challenge at any time between October 2019 and December 2020, and do not need to attend annual meetings to participate.
Active NeuroAdvocates will be entered into a drawing for support to attend and an invitation to join SfN’s 2021 Capitol Hill Day.
