Society members are encouraged to play a more active role in the governance of SFN by attending the Business/Members Meeting in San Diego. The agenda includes a review of important Society initiatives and programs. Members will have the opportunity to express their opinions on matters related to the Society and direct questions to the Society’s officers. Members (Regular and Emeritus) will also have the opportunity to discuss proposed bylaws changes: creating a Foreign Emeritus membership category, allowing the past treasurer to stay on Council ex officio for one year, and creating a standing committee on investment. In January, a referendum on the bylaws amendments will be sent to the entire voting membership.
