SfN News Press ReleaseIn light of the very recent federal executive actions that affect NIH including a freeze on hiring, study sections, Advisory Council meetings, travel, and communications, I wanted to reach out to all of you today. While these actions are in some cases without precedent, many of them have been applied more broadly across many or most federal agencies by the new Administration, and it will be some time before we understand any possible lasting impacts on NIH specifically. My hope is that this action will be short-lived.Jan 23, 2025

Yes. SfN provides free wireless internet access in designated areas of the convention center during the meeting. SfN will also provide support for wireless users. Feel free to browse the web, communicate with your colleagues, or use it for any other internet activity. Consider the security implications of using the wireless network and protect your device appropriately. We expect thousands of attendees to use the system at any given time, so please refrain from using bandwidth-intensive applications (e.g. video and audio streaming, app downloads, transferring large files, etc.) to prevent your wireless speed from slowing to a crawl.
