Swartz Prize for Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience

Supported by The Swartz Foundation

Background
The Swartz Prize is presented annually to:

  • an individual whose activities over a period of time have produced a significant cumulative contribution to theoretical models or computational methods in neuroscience, or to
  • A person who has made a particularly noteworthy advance over the past several years in theoretical or computational neuroscience.

The prize, which includes $25,000, is presented at the Society's annual meeting.

Nomination Criteria

  • Nominations must be made or endorsed by an SfN member. 
  • Nominees do not have to be SfN members.
  • Self-nomination is not permitted.
  • No person may nominate or write a letter of recommendation for more than one candidate.

Nomination Materials 
Please upload the following nomination materials to the new SfN awards submission site (note: all materials must be submitted by the nominator): 

  • One nomination letter
  • A maximum of two letters of recommendation 
  • A current CV
  • A list of publications and abstracts authored or co-authored by the nominee.
