Registration Categories
The following categories are available when registering for Neuroscience 2009. 

All members must be in good standing at the time of registering for the annual meeting in order to receive member rates.

Member
SfN member.

Member Category II
SfN member who resides in a developing country with a lower-middle economy.

Postdoc Member
SfN member who has obtained their doctoral degree and are currently working in a postdoctoral trainee program.

Postdoc Member, Category II
SfN member who resides in a developing country with a lower-middle economy and have obtained their doctoral degree and are currently working in a postdoctoral trainee program.

Student Member
SfN student member.

Student Member Undergraduate
SfN undergraduate student member.

Student Member Category II
SfN student member who resides in a developing country with a lower-middle economy.

Nonmember
Anyone who is not a SfN member.

Student Nonmember
A student working toward an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree in neuroscience or an allied field qualifies for a reduced student rate. Student identification or proof of qualifying student status is required when registering on-site. Postdoctoral fellows, hospital residents, interns, and laboratory technicians - even if in a training program - do not qualify for a reduced student rate.

Guest
A guest is a non-scientist family member or guest of a scientist. Guest registration fee includes a badge; admission to social events, and access to a scientific event for the sole purpose of observing the registered scientist's presentation. The following process and restrictions apply:

  • A guest is only allowed to register once during the annual meeting.
  • Include guest names on the annual meeting registration form.
  • A maximum of two guests per registrant are allowed.
  • Include the day the registered scientist's presentation will be given on the registration form. The indicated day is printed on the guest's badge.
  • Guests are admitted to scientific events (including poster and slide sessions and the exhibit area) only on the day printed on the guest badge. Only one full day is permitted for the week of the annual meeting.

Registration Fees
All members must be in good standing at the time of registering for the annual meeting in order to receive member rates.
Membership status will be verified at the time of registration.

Refunds are not issued for incorrect registration category. If uncertain about your membership status, contact membership@sfn.org or call SfN's Membership & Marketing Department at (202) 962-4000.
