Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience (FUN) is the international society devoted to neuroscience education and research at the undergraduate level. Since 1992, FUN has sponsored travel awards to allow undergraduate researchers to attend the annual SFN meeting. Undergraduate researchers are welcome to present their work at the FUN poster session held during the SFN meeting.
An exciting development for FUN is our continuing expansion and revision of our society website. This presentation will feature some of the new directions that the society is moving, such as: The Journal of Undergraduate Neuroscience Education, celebrating its one-year anniversary as FUN's E-Journal devoted to neuroscience instruction and laboratory techniques for use in undergraduate neuroscience; Increasing activity by FUN members in the Society for Neuroscience program and society-wide activities; A research opportunity webpage, where undergraduates can find links to opportunities to become involved in research; Online databases for equipment and other materials; Listservs, and web-based voting and polls.
Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience presents a wealth of resources designed to facilitate FUN members and other neuroscience educators in training the neuroscientists of tomorrow....today!
