The Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience (FUN) is a group devoted to education and research in neuroscience at the undergraduate level. FUN meets annually at the Society for Neuroscience (SFN) conference and provides a travel award to outstanding undergraduate neuroscience students presenting at SFN. In addition, FUN has established a SFN award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching and a travel award for faculty from institutions with no travel support. This year we have designed a web-based survey to collect information from undergraduate students presenting posters with their FUN mentors at the 2000 SFN meeting. The survey includes items regarding their research projects, training, and future education/career plans. Key findings from the survey will be presented at the Teaching of Neuroscience poster session.
