National Volunteer Week
In recognition of National Volunteer Week (April 19-25), SfN extends its sincere gratitude to its volunteer leaders around the globe. National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration of volunteerism and the impact volunteers have on communities across the country. We know everyone’s time is particularly in-demand during the COVID-19 pandemic and we especially appreciate our volunteers in unprecedented times. The value of science has never been more evident, and your contributions to SfN help to support the global neuroscience community.
Throughout the year, hundreds of dedicated SfN members devote their time and energy to programs that:
- Promote public engagement in neuroscience research
- Provide professional development opportunities for all career stages
- Inform legislators of new developments in research
- Develop venues for scientific exchange
There are many ways in which a member can get involved with SfN. Our volunteers are at the heart of SfN’s efforts to advance the understanding of the brain and nervous system.
Thank you, once again, to all who have contributed their time and energy to promote the advancement of neuroscience. We wish you health and safety, and SfN is truly grateful for the continued support of its exceptional members.
