Membership & Chapters
SfN's membership consists of more than 40,000 researchers, clinicians, postdoctoral trainees and students exploring the rapidly expanding field of neuroscience. SfN is the world’s largest organization of brain researchers with members in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and nearly 80 other countries around the world. SfN has a growing international constituency and works closely with European counterparts such as IBRO.
SfN members receive numerous benefits, including the privilege of sponsoring an abstracts at the Society's annual meeting, online subscriptions to The Journal of Neuroscience and the European Journal of Neuroscience, reduced annual meeting registration rates, and more. View all SfN member benefits.
Perhaps most important, SfN membership facilitates information exchange and opens networking opportunities. All members are encouraged to actively participate by joining and forming local SfN chapters.
SfN's membership and chapter activities are overseen by the Membership & Chapters Committee.
