Animals in Research
SfN is committed to animal research advocacy. The Society:

  • Supports responsible use of animals in research
  • Tracks legislation, as well as judicial and regulatory decisions, impacting member research progress
  • Supports scientists under attack by groups attempting to end use of animals in research
  • Strives to educate the public

In addition, SfN's Committee on Animals in Research (CAR) serves as a resource for all SfN members under attack or concerned about attacks. CAR also organizes a panel on the topic at SfN's annual meeting and guides the Society's position on animal research.
