The 2011 Annual Spring Conference of Neuroscience Departments and Programs will take place on March 25, 2011 in Washington, DC. Please check the meeting page for more information about the 2010 meeting. For more information, please contact awallace@sfn.org.
The Committee on Neuroscience Departments and Programs (C-NDP) is SfN's newest committee, and results from the consolidation of the Association for Neuroscience Departments and Programs (ANDP) with SfN. This consolidation reflects a new higher education and training strategy adopted by SfN Council in response to expressed member needs. The committee will serve institutional program members (neuroscience departments and programs) through programs, activities, and initiatives that advance education and research training in academic neuroscience.

Committee Initiatives

Neuroscience Departments and Programs Directory - Online directory of member neuroscience departments and programs.
Biennial Survey of Neuroscience Departments and Programs - A nation-wide survey of training programs in neuroscience, in which data are acquired on numbers of students, postdoctoral, and faculty, curricular emphases, funding sources, and manpower needs.
Annual Spring Meeting - Institutional Program members meet for a program of speakers and panels addressing various aspects of neuroscience education and research.
Neuroscience Departments and Programs Reception - Annual reception held at SfN's annual meeting for neuroscience departments and programs.
Award for Education in Neuroscience - This award is given to an individual(s) in recognition of their outstanding contributions to research, education, and a distinguished career in the neurosciences.
