Donald B. Lindsley Prize in Behavioral Neuroscience
Supported by The Grass Foundation
Background
The Grass Foundation established the Donald B. Lindsley Prize in 1979 to recognize meritorious research in behavioral neuroscience.
The prize, which includes $2,500, is presented at the Society for Neuroscience's annual meeting and recognizes an outstanding Ph.D. thesis in the general area of behavioral neuroscience* submitted and approved during the previous calendar year.
* For the purpose of this prize, behavioral neuroscience is defined as neuroscience research involving behavioral variables or oriented toward the solution of behavioral problems.
Eligibility
- Nominees must have a thesis submitted and approved between January 1st and December 31st of the preceeding calendar year.
Nomination Criteria
- Nominations must be made or endorsed by an SfN member.
- Nominee does not need to be an SfN member.
- Self nomination is not permitted.
- No person may nominate more than one candidate.
Nomination Materials
Please upload the following nomination materials to the new SfN awards submission site (note: all materials must be submitted by the nominator):
- One nomination letter from the nominee's PhD mentor(s) (no additional letters will be accepted)
- Four- to six-page thesis abstract (typed, double-spaced) with names and departmental affiliations of thesis committee members.
- Current CV
- The date of the thesis defense must be provided.
