Call for Abstracts
Abstract submission for Neuroscience 2010 opens April 22, 2010. The deadline is 5:00 p.m. EDT on May 13, 2010. SfN received nearly 16,000 abstract submissions in 2009.
Nanosymposia
Taking the place of slide sessions, nanosymposium sessions are an exciting new format that allows abstract submitters to propose their own group of presenters for a slide-based presentation. Learn more about nanosymposium sessions.
New for 2010 – discover new potential collaborators to form a nanosymposium group during abstract submission. Proposing a linking group makes it more likely that a nansymposium is accepted. Visit the Nanosymposium Topic Matching Forum to learn more.
Register for the Meeting to Present Your Abstract
First authors are expected to register for Neuroscience 2010 and present their abstracts in a poster session or nanosymposium. If the first author cannot attend, presentation by a co-author is acceptable. If no one can present, e-mail program@sfn.org immediately to either mark your abstract as “Unable to Attend” (abstract and author block will remain listed in the online Neuroscience Meeting Planner) or “Withdrawn” (abstract and author block will be removed from the Neuroscience Meeting Planner).
Theme H Poster Format
For those presenting a Theme H abstract (History, Teaching, Public Awareness, and Societal Impacts in Neuroscience), please note that Theme H posters will encompass three sessions on the poster floor: Saturday p.m., Sunday a.m., and Sunday p.m. Posters should remain on display for these three sessions for casual viewing and be removed at the end of the afternoon session on Sunday.
Embargo Policy
Under the Society's Embargo Policy, information from scientific presentations is embargoed until after the time of presentation. Information from news releases is embargoed until after the time of a press conference. Information from lay-language summaries is embargoed until after the time of a presentation.
