Mary Bartlett Bunge, who with her husband, Richard, studied how the body responds to spinal cord injuries and continued their work after his death in 1996, ultimately discovering a promising treatment to restore movement to millions of paralyzed patients, died on Feb. 17, at her home in Coral Gables, Fla. She was 92.

James Masao Fujimoto, 95, passed away peacefully on Jan. 16, 2024, in Wauwatosa. He is survived by his wife, Akiko (nee Funatsu), and daughters, Naomi and Yukie (Todd) Lindsey. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy (Mo) Yanagi, and her children, Ann (Scott), Amy (Robin), Gayle (Roberto), and Glenn (Michelle).

Dr. Kenneth E. Moore, 90, died on Jan. 9, 2024, at his home in Ogden, Utah.

Robert Struble of Springfield passed away on December 8, 2023, after a long and valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born February 17, 1947, in Los Angeles, California, to Robert and Margie Dawn Struble, both deceased, and grew up in La Cañada, California.

A native of Albany New York, James (Jim) Fallon earned the PhD in Anatomy from the University of Illinois, and then undertook postdoctoral studies at UC San Diego. Jim joined the faculty of the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine in 1978 until the time of his retirement in 2008.
