Training Program Surveys

SfN conducts a regular survey to monitor the status of neuroscience training programs in the U.S. and Canada, as well as identify emerging trends.

The survey of SfN’s Institutional Program members addresses a variety of programmatic issues concerning graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, and financial support. Recent data are compared with the results of earlier surveys, providing useful longitudinal perspectives.

Prior to 2009, the survey was conducted by the Association of Neuroscience Departments and Programs (ANDP). Since the consolidation of ANDP and SfN in June 2009, the survey is administered by SfN.
