SfN Year 2008 Reduced Dues Country ListIn an effort to support neuroscientists and students residing in resource-restricted areas of the world and to encourage international participation in the Society and its programs, the Society for Neuroscience is pleased to offer reduced membership dues to residents of the countries listed below. The countries are divided into two categories using the World Bank's categorization of countries by income level. SfN's Reduced Dues Category I corresponds to the World Bank's category of "low-income economies" (having a gross national income (GNI) per capita of $905 or less). SfN's Reduced Dues Category II includes countries in the World Bank's categories of "lower-middle-income economy" (having a GNI per capita of $906-$3,595) and "upper-middle-income economy" (having a GNI per capita of $3,596-$11,115). These lists are updated annually by the World Bank and SfN makes adjustments as needed. Reductions and categories are based on an individual member's work and residence address. Members working and/or residing outside these geographical locations will be required to pay full membership dues.
