Every year, neuroscience education events are held around the world during Brain Awareness Week (BAW) to increase and advance public awareness about the progress and promise of brain research, and to inspire the next generation of neuroscientists. The Society for Neuroscience compiles a report on the activities that are held during BAW. This report enables participants to learn from each others' experience and get ideas for future campaign efforts.
Upon the conclusion of each BAW, event sponsors and their partner organizations are encouraged to contribute to the report by submitting:
- a brief write-up highlighting prominent aspects of the activities,
- a handful of the best photos, and
- promotional materials that best convey the story
(Solicitation for BAW 2007 reports will begin in April 2007)
The Interactive BAW Web Report presents contributions from individual BAW participants that were received by the Society for Neuroscience. Blue areas on the map below represent states from which the Society for Neuroscience has obtained a BAW report. Select from the blue states or search alphabetically to view a directory of participants from that region.
In addition, reports submitted by international BAW participants may be viewed by selecting from the countries listed.
