The Society for Neuroscience invites science writers to cover Neuroscience 2007 in San Diego, California, Nov. 3-7.
With 30,000 or more attendees, the Society's annual meeting is the world's largest and most influential yearly gathering of neuroscientists. In more than 16,000 presentations this year, our members will discuss the latest advances in the understanding of the nervous system and its disorders. Press conferences will be held Sunday, Nov. 4, through Tuesday, Nov. 6. The Society will make press conference speakers and other neuroscientists available to help you with your stories. Wireless access, telephones, a photocopier, and a fax machine will be available in the Press Room, San Diego Convention Center Room 15B. Embargo Policy: The Press Room is open only to members of the working press. Please see the Society's Press Policies regarding who may register as media for Neuroscience 2007. Registration to attend the annual meeting as press will be handled online, although on-site registration will also be available. As a preregistered member of the press, you must check in at the Press Room to receive your badge, which will allow you access to meeting events and activities.
Press registration is now open. Once your registration has been approved and you receive your registration confirmation number, you may make a hotel reservation online through SfN Housing. You will need your registration confirmation number and last name to access the Press Housing site. You may make changes to or cancel your hotel reservation online until Friday, Oct. 5, at 9 p.m. EDT. A press breakfast and overview press conference will be held on Sunday, Nov. 4, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. This is an excellent opportunity to meet the Society's president, president-elect, public education and communication committee co-chairs, and program committee chairperson.
